Alright Saganaughts, let’s get into our flight suits and take to the skies for this card preview!

The Imperial Interceptor is an Aggression/Villainy unit and it enters play in an aggressive fashion.
Before we break down the mechanics, let’s take a moment to appreciate the tremendous artwork on this card. You can almost hear the scream of the engines. It’s easy to imagine a variant of this with the laser blasts breaking out of the card frame.
As cool as this card looks, what really matters is how it will perform on the playmats. So let’s take a deeper look at what the card does.
This 4 cost space unit enters play as a 3/2. This feels like a slightly small body for the cost, until we look at the When Played ability:
The Interceptor allows you to deal 3 damage to any space unit.
This card is a mid-curve work horse and I am here for it. It only costs you 4, and you are able to gain a decent body while also removing a small enemy unit or softening up a fatty. In many game states this card is a clean two for one. But it can also provide reach of up to 6 dmg. If it sticks for more than one attack it looks even better.
It’s worth noting that if the enemy isn’t playing much to the space arena the value of the card goes down a bit. That When Played dmg really needs to hit something for this card to be at it’s premium value.
For any games where they are foolishly willing to fight you in space, the Imperial Interceptor will be a great mid game option to clear out some threats while developing your own.
Huge Thanks to FFG for reaching out and hooking us up with a card to preview.
See ya, in the Arenas!
